Save Street Children Uganda (SASCU) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (REG NO S.5914/8183) that is legally registered and operating in Uganda to promote and protect the rights of street children, unaccompanied or separated refugee children and other vulnerable children, young people and women in Uganda. In united states, SASCU is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, tax exempt public charity (EIN 45-2822269). We are committed to providing street children and unaccompanied refugee children with the support they need to get off the streets and rebuild their lives.
With over 15 years of programming experience, SASCU focuses on various areas including rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of street, and refuge children, enhancing child protection, Education and Skilling, sustainable livelihood, and conducting research to inform programming, lobbying and influencing the development and implementation of child friendly laws and policies in Uganda. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate positive change by supporting family, community and national efforts to sustainably improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children, young people and women in Uganda.
SASCU exists to promote the rights of children in street situations, other vulnerable children and young people in Uganda through Advocacy, service delivery and protection interventions in order to enhance their social economic welfare.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. To promote the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of children in street situations in our operational areas. 2. To promote access to and utilization of formal education services and BTVET opportunities for ex-street children, refugee children, other vulnerable children and young people. 3. To enhance the economic empowerment of vulnerable families to care for and provide the needs of the ex-street children, refugee children, other vulnerable children, and young people. 4. To strengthen prevention, response and case management of child abuse, violence and exploitation instances at family and community level in development and humanitarian contexts.
