Rabbits are very important for the livelihood of the Ugandan families that we work with. You see these animals freely running around in the compound. They provide their owners with tasty beef and families earn extra income by selling the surplus which can then be used for the children’s education and healthcare.

How does it work:

SASCU gives a family a female and male rabbit. The length of pregnancy is thirty-one days and the doe can produce from one to twelve young ones each time she gives birth. She can become pregnant again within a few days after giving birth, which makes it very sustainable support. The parent animals may not be slaughtered which is one of the fundamentals of the cooperation with our organization and the implementation is checked regularly.

Your gifted rabbit changes the life of one Ugandan family permanently.
