The Community Self Help Groups (CSHGs) for vulnerable groups with common vision and purpose. CSHGs are mobilized and nurtured by SASCU to encourage group savings and investment in small businesses to sustain their families. The CSHGs targets both vulnerable families especially the women and vulnerable youth between the ages of twelve and twenty two years. The project is aimed at equipping and empowering vulnerable households with financial skills to be able to save, start IGAs and support children in school as a measure to prevent outward street migration of youth and children and to empower the young people to be economically productive and independent so as to be able to make a positive contribution within their communities. To-date, 21 Community Self Help Groups have been established.
